Use Of Civilian Phyciatrists

Question

Anyone use a phyciatrist in a non post tramatic stress syndrome claim. Attorney says with my lack of sight, I would be surprised how much it effects other different areas of my life (for example my vision problems effect my social skills, learning, playing sports, etc.) My attorney wants to use a phyciatrist to help further my claim. I said ok until the phyciatrist quoted me $1500.00. Not sure if it's a waste of time and money.

2. If you worry, you didn't pray. If you pray, don't worry.

16. We do not remember days, but moments. Life moves too fast, so enjoy your precious moments.

17. Nothing is real to you until you experience it, otherwise it's just hearsay.

18. It's all right to sit on your pity pot every now and again. Just be sure to flush when you are done.

19. Surviving and living your life successfully requires courage. The goals and dreams you're seeking require courage and risk-taking. Learn from the turtle -- it only makes progress when it sticks out its neck.

20. Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

Just tell your doctor that you have an SSD claim and you need help. If he/she does not want to do it then get another doctor. There is a certain type of wording the SSA needs to have to declare you totally disabled. The doctor must say you are disabled from all work now and for at least the next year. If your doctor is reluctant get an SSDI lawyer. These guys know doctors who will write something up for you.

Yep John is right tell them what you need and see what they have to say. Don't worry they get asked a lot.

TALK WITH MY PSYCH YESTERSDAY AND I TOLD HIM ABOUT MY SOCIAL SECURITY HEARING COMING IN THE NEXT MONTH OR TWO. THOUGHT HE WOULD TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD, HE JUST BEAT AROUND THE BUSH. I TOLD MY LAWYER TO SEND HIM AND MY SOCIAL WORKER A LETTER AND SEE WOULD THEY RESPOND ON WHETHER I COULD WORK ANY JOB OF ANY CAPACITY IN THE THE NATIONAL ECONOMY. MY SOCIAL WORKER TOLD ME BEFORE I LEFT THEY WOULD HELP ME OUT WHEN THEY RECEIVED THE LETTER FROM FROM LAWYER, I'LL SEE. IF I DON'T SEE A RESPONSE FROM THEM IT'S TIME TO ( FEE BASIS ) SOMEWHERE ELSE.

The Doc's that Lawyers use for SSD know how to make a good IMO for the clients. Many will let you pay out if you ask. I think that it would be a good move on your part if there is any way you can swing it.

Good Luck
