What Medical Specialty To Verify Tdiu/iu?

Question

What's best for TDIU? Occupational Med Physician vrs. Orth/neuro physician. Can't find a physician listed as a "vocational" physician. I need physician for evaluation on why I am unemployable/unable to hold gainful employment. Also, is occupational physician the same as a vocational physician?? Sounds like the same specialty, just a different way to get off/on the horse.

It depends on what you are service connected for the most? i.e. If you have mostly Ortho problems, then thats who you see or if you have PTSD issues, then you need the evidence from a psych doc.

Any specialty can verify IU provided your medical condition supports it.

Purple is correct - If you are seeking an IMO then you need to see a specialist associated with the disability that is making you unemployable.

When you get your C&P exam is will most likely be a generic doc at the VAMC.

You have listed a 30% disibility. You'll need to increase your rating. What disability is causing your unemployability?

There are only a few doctors under the employ of the DVA that I trust...and they're Professors at the adjoining university!

Other than that, I trust VA doctors as far as I can throw them!

In my opinion, spend some cash, and see an outside doctor that specializes in your particular ailments. Make sure that this doctor has a good reputation also. It's worth the cost!
