My C&p Exam Notes Are In (just As Expected Not Promising)

HI,I HAD A COPY OF MY C&P EXAMS PRINTED OUT FOR ME TODAY.

SOME MAY REMBER THE DAY I GOT BACK FROM THE EXAMS AND WAS IRATE,DISGUSTED AND DISSAPOINTED.

WELL JUST AS EXPECTED THE DRS NOTES THAT THEY ARE SENDING TO THE VARO ARE CLEARLY UNTRUE AND UNFOUNDED??

I NEED A SUGGESTION.OR MAYBE A EXPERIENCED HADIT MEMBER WHO WOULD BE WILLING TO ANALYZE MY C&P NOTES AND TELL ME WHAT THEY THINK???

I DONT THINK ITS ADVISABLE TO POST ALL THE NOTES ON THE FORUMS

AS IT WILL TAKE ALOT OF SPACE UP?

IF ANYONE IS WILLING TO HAVE ME FWD YOU THE NOTES VIA EMAIL AND GO OVER THEM WITH ME ID BE FOREVER GREATFUL!!!

TRYING TO CLEAR THROUGH ALL OF THE OBSTACLES THE VA HAS SET UP TO MAKE IT GUT WRENCHING TO GO THROUGH THIS PROCESS. SO MANY GIVE UP.

I WILL NOT GIVE UP.I AM FURIOUS.

I GAVE UP 17 YRS AGO ON THE VA WHEN I FIRST ARRIVED HOME FROM THE WAR.AFTER THE WAY THEY MADE ME FEEL SO I CONTINUED MY MEDICAL TREATMENTS WITH A PRACTICE OUTSIDE THE VA.

I REFUSE TO GIVE UP THIS TIME.

THE VA HAS NOT FOUND A WAY TO MAKE MY PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS GO AWAY OR EVEN MAKE THEM MANAGABLE.

SO IM GOING TO TRY WITH THE HELP FROM HADIT,MY WIFE AND MYSELF TO FIGHT THIS BATTLE TO THE END.

OK, I can tell you that that C&P was TOTALLY different than mine less than a year ago.

I have my records and they look nothing like that. Mine were 2 part. A social worker doing the stressor part along with a history (that documented in paragraph form listing individual events in combat and stuff in pictures I brought) and then a week later a doc going through the memory type, pre-written list of questions, which this document resembles... but barely.

How on earth can an examiner claim he doesn't meet PTSD quals when it states over and over that he is being treated at the VA for PTSD??????

The C&P should not have been to see if he HAS ptsd, he has been confirmed by VA to have it. It should have been to confirm HOW SEVERELY he had it for comp. purposes only.

I see everything from 10% (litle to no effects on work, family, drugs) to 70% (suicidial thoughts, an automatic 70%), but to claim he doesn't have ptsd is just plain incompetant.

I don't know what to tell you Tankerjoe, I got more than I expected outta mine but have read about a lotta guys getting shafted.

Keep going for help... I can tell you that it has helped me some. Not with nightmares, etc. but to recognize when I'm reacting to stresors and trying to change how I react to them.

ABOUT HOW RUDE AND VIOLATED AND MISTREATED I FELT.I WAS PHYSICALLY SICK I STARTED TO THROW UP.

I FOR THE FIRST TIME STARTED TO HAVE HOMICIDAL THOUGHTS????? IM NEARING MY BREAKING POINT.

IM SCARED TO DEATH WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN??

I DONT KNOW IF IT BE BETTER TO TAKE MY OWN LIFE OR GO OUT IN A BLAZE OF GLORY AND CRASH MY CAR AS FAST AND HARD AS I CAN INTO THE CENTER OF THE VAMC.AND SEE HOW EXXAGERATING MY SYMPTOMS ARE TO THEM THEN???

THE VA JUST GOT SUED FOR NOT HELPING A VET SUFFERING AND HE KILLED HIMSELF.I THINK IF THIS IS THE TREATMENT THEY ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE.THEY ARE GONNA HAVE ALOT ORE OF THIS HAPPENING IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.

ID LOVE TO GET THE INFO YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT WITH MY TANK BLOWING UP IN THE MINEFIELD AND WHATEVER ELSE OUR TASK FORCE NOTES SAY???

A rating for service connected depression is just as strong as for PTSD. All the junk about your childhood and teenage years is a quest for a personality disorder diagnosis. I would get a private medical opinion to verify the service connected mental conditions. You need to show the private doctor your SMR's.

My read indicates that he will be SCed for a depression disorder and agree with John that it does not matter if it is PTSD etc...... Yes the questions are to determine previous mental issues, however, the overall diagnosis was depression. More than likely will be a 10 percent rating.

The comments Shane made on the other issues are on the mark.

I would agree with you, Ricky, except that Joe didn't file a claim for depression. He filed a claim for PTSD. Now, if he has a good VARO, like Nashville they would sc it. He lives in Jax, though, so I'm not sure which RO he goes through. I have never heard anything good about a RO in FL, though.

Shane, that is what I was talking about. How do they give him a C&P looking for a diagnosis when he has already been diagnosed as having PTSD? I know that when I asked my RO about PTSD he said "have you been diagnosed with PTSD? How can you claim it if you haven't been told you have it?" I still waited another 6-8 months before going to get help and then 2 more before filing a claim. But like I said, the C&P STATES that he is CURRENTLY BEING TREATED FOR PTSD, so how the heck did the C&P request even come through requesting a diagnosis? That sounds like a good enough reason to have a NOD filed once his decision comes in.

I didn't want to say anything about Jacksonville, but unfortunately, all of us regulars know the reputation that VARO has.
