carlie
All Walgreen's stores on TUESDAY's ONLY off a 15% discount off your total purchase, to include 15% off of an item with a sale price. For some unknown reason you must make your purchase at the cosmetics cashier and tell them BEFORE they ring it up. If you are a Military Veteran, Disabled Veteran Military Retiree, Active duty or have a VAMC or any Military ID, to include spouse of deceased, just show any ID that shows Military association. This does not apply to a VA employee ID. The discount does not apply to Alcohol, Tobacco Products and for an unknown reason ...... get this..... MILK. And don't forget Lowe's is always 10% discount. I try to spend my money where they honor service to our country. carlie Carlie passed away in November 2015 she is missed.
HadIt.com Elder LarryJ Posted May 9, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 9, 2009 Yup, I was in Lowes a couple of weeks ago. The Cashier asked me if I was a veteran (guess she saw my USMC baseball cap), and I told her I was, and showed her my MWR card, and bingo, I saved about $50. Thanks, Lowes. We appreciate it. "It is cold and we have no blankets. The little children are freezing to death. My people, some of them, have run away to the hills, and have no blankets, no food; no one knows where they are-perhaps freezing to death. I want to have time to look for my children and see how many of them I can find. Maybe I shall find them among the dead. Hear me, my chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever." Chief Joseph
HadIt.com Elder LarryJ Posted May 9, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 9, 2009 There's a lot of stuff out there for veterans. The Wife and I were talking about taking a week and going to Disney World. Did you know that, on the Disney World property, there is a special Hotel that is for Military and/or Veterans ONLY. And they have a really nice facility. And, it's cheaper than the other lodges on the property. Shades Of Green is the name of it. "It is cold and we have no blankets. Eric_M
check out http://www.afvclub.com/ Space "A" condo rentals, all over the world = $329 per week. The last time we stayed using this site, we saved about $800. The property usually went for $1100 per week. Eric

HadIt.com Elder Philip Rogers Posted May 9, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 9, 2009 And if Home Depot doesn't give a discount, just ask the store manager if he'd rather you make your purchase at Lowe's, where they do give a veteran discount. Chances are he'll authorize a discount, right then. pr
