HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted May 13, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 13, 2009 I am Service Connected for Panic Disorder/Major Depression with Agoraphobia. My theory is it started due to separation anxiety when I was drafted and sent overseas and missed the birth of my son. I am open minded to how you got it but you must be able to prove tht you got it in service or something that is diagnosed and connected to service as a secondary condition. However, I believe that you would have a much easier go of proving depression to a rated condition but that is just my opinion. Veterans deserve real choice for their health care. hmcquade
Hi Pete, Thanks for the reply. I have had Tinnitus for so long that it wears on me. I developed Panic attacks and depression. I believe they are casued by the Tinnitus Hugh
HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted May 14, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 14, 2009 Hugh: I believe you but I have reservations about selling it to VA. If you are unable to work depression is much easier to prove cause all you will need is a Doc to say that you have Depression and link it to tinnitus. This the VARO will understand. Even though you are sure that panic and tinnitus are connected I believe that the VA will never buy it. I could be wrong but I doubt it right now Veterans deserve real choice for their health care. HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted May 14, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 14, 2009 Are you taking any medications for depression? The VA always wants to know if you are on medications.
