vmo
My VBM arrived today. I must be a continuing subscriber. Not a cheap book, but neither is an attorneys representation or physician's IME/IMO's. I feel like this book helps recharge my battery for the continuing battle with VARO/BVA. Time to study!! halos2
This is the free one published every year by the VA. It is available at the VAMC for free...and you see people trying to sell these on-line for $5.00 and up on a popular internet selling store! Thanks for the info but this is pretty basic, but helpful for those who are not familiar with the VA and the benefits available. Am glad that people do offer info to all vets here and glad you posted it for those who are not even aware of it's existence. :D For those interested try this shortcut: http://www.scribd.com/doc/15589895/2009-Ve...anual-15May2009 dh
halos2
Hey Berta, how many more pages does the new one have? OK you can give an approximate, don't have to count. Funds are tight and I have an older model, but sounds like this puppy sure would be of benefit. Berta
2058 pages in the new Edition- DH why not call NVLSP and ask them what proof they would need to have Lexis Nexis sent to you at the advocates rate- You could mention any volunteer claims help you have given veterans or widows-any sites you have helped vets at-etc-if you helped any vet orgs in some way in volunteer work, stuff like that. I think they give all who obtained their NVLSP Certificate in Basic Veterans Benefits Training (I know Philip here and I have one-dont know who else does) as well as those of us who buy the TVA (The Veterans Advocate Newsletter (more expensive than the VBM) I think can get advocates rate- and of course anyone fully accredited by the VA I would think would get the advocates rate too.To include all vet reps ,VSOs, etc. I don't know you but I am assuming you have done past advocacy work for veterans.Maybe your vet org could write them a little note if they are aware of any volunteer work you have done regarding the claims process and help to any individual veterans to see if you could get the advocacy rate.
