Weird... Sudden Money, But Feel Anxious Instead Of Happy

Question

Checked the bank account today to discover a deposit of a fat deposit from the VA in my DH's account. He's 50% and filed for an increase back in July. I tried to call him, call the VSO, but no one available. I could just wait and see what comes in the mail, but I hate seeing mysterious deposits.

He has spouse + one in-school child. The retro would go back to July, right? So if that means July should be included, and March should be included, that would be 9 months?

Let us be kind, one to another, for we are each of us together in our pain.

His determination letter should give you all the fact, such as the effective date and his current rating, so you can figure this all out.

oakay.........I'm a little slooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww today (okay, okay, then, worse than NORMAL, alright already!).

But.

What's a DH (designated hitter?)? :)

"It is cold and we have no blankets.

The little children are freezing to death.

My people, some of them, have run away to the hills, and have no blankets, no food; no one knows where they are-perhaps freezing to death.

I want to have time to look for my children and see how many of them I can find.

Maybe I shall find them among the dead.

Hear me, my chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad.

From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever."

It might not have the March $$$ yet-

but should go back to the month he filed the claim in.

Whoopee this is Great News-

but I know how it is to get the cash in the bank and no letter yet- but it will arrive and you can make sure the retro is correct by reading the VA historic rate table at the VA web site.

This is wonderful news!

GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University !

When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief

Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was

simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we."

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

It is all good. I was real paranoid and kept looking for it to be reversed for the first week.

You go through a downer period after the fact but you will get over it.

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.
