Thanks to my education from the United States Marine Corps at AMU!!!!!!

and NVLSP!

What is next? a Writ of Equitable Relief being filed with Sec Shenseki himself.(as soon as I get my garden set in)-

My claim is a one of a kind- and that means the sky is the limit. I feel I have to establish some sort of precedent John-

for anyone in similiar circmstances. The regs -as I said at SVR show last week-control us- but the regs control the VA too- and as much as medical evidence-the regs as well can lead to success.

VA has made 6 or 7 awards to me in the past few months-but the one I want isnt here yet.

It is the one they don't want to even think about.

The regs and the medical evidence will award that final claim.

But I think it will call for the Writ too-as it is a very unusual situation.

NO VET should ever go through what my husband did.

As long as I live I will continue to make sure the VA never forgets what they did to him.

I have 2 more claims to file too-a direct SC death opens a big door but one has to know what is on the other side of the door-as the VA wont tell widows what other claims potentials they might have along with the SC death award.

The award letters come and I am happy and then anger sets in because I would rather have him come home for dinner and not even get these award letters at all.

GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University !

When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief

Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was

simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we."

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

I cant believe it- the check came today.

REPS Restored Entitlement Program-

explained in the DIC forum.

I filed for this in January 1995.

I dealt directly with REPS in ST Louis because someone at 800 told me they had a note on their PC NOT to send me the REPS app.when I won direct SC death last April.

I first figured that was because they still have my original app.

Then I learned the app had changed and they didn't send it to me- hoping I would not apply in a different way or hoping maybe I would forget they owed me this benefit.

I never even knew of it until I started buying the VBM in 1991.

My former REPS never heard of it at all.

WE HAVE TO be aware of what benefits are due to us-otherwise we can lose out on them.

As TBird's motto says- Knowledge is Power

(it also gains the $$$$)

YAAAAAAAA BERTA ! Great job you earned it! You and your family deserve it. I am sure hubby would be proud that you didnt let them get away with out accountability for what they did and Power is knowledge. God bless you for what you do for so many others, you Carlie, Pete, and John, and other seniors that share so much knowledge, advice, tips, friendly conversation to keep so many of us going and fighting your own battles too. :D
