Question

hello all on this fourm....ive had my highs and lows on this fourm, and just wanted u all to know i got my raiting today when i got home form my girlfriends house. i was surprised that i got it in just over 2 weeks! i got raited at 70% for ptsd and tinnits from combat service as an infantryman in iraq.....i was only really expecting about 30, and was greatly surprised when i opened my "brown evlope". the description is way to long for me to type out. the only thing that stood out and kinda grabed my attention was this:

"Since there is a liklihood of improvement in the condition, the assinged evaluation is not considerd permanent and is subject to a future review examination"

how often do u get these reevaluations?

thanks for all ur help

First of all Congrats we don't see many here who say that they got more than expected. If you are working this is a good rating as you probably can get.

The reevaluations don't come often.

If you cannot work for any reason ask for TDIU which will give you a 100% rating in most cases.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

Congratulations on winning your claim!

I also have a 'temporary' rating, but it is not for MH. It said I would be evaluated at a future date, but they didn't list the date! Doh! I put in an IRIS request to find out. Later in the week they responded and said I would be re-examined for the condition approximately 12 months after the effective date on my claim. I don't know if you will be re-examined at the same interval, but you can find out.

Congrats

My intentions are to help, my advice maybe wrong, be your own advocate and know what is in your C-File and the 38 CFR that governs your disabilities and conditions.

Do your own homework. No one knows the veteran’s symptoms like the veteran. Never Give Up.

I do not give my consent for anyone to view my personal VA records.

drgonzo,

Conrats on your quick rating.

Re-evaluations usually happen at 1 - 3 - or 5 years.
