Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Vync Posted July 16, 2010 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Share Posted July 16, 2010 Bump! Excellent recommendation Carlie! When guests come over, I usually set a password on my systems so they don't do any damage. My daughter keeps getting virus/malware on her system from Facebook. She never uses my PC. Founder Tbird Posted July 16, 2010 Founder Share Posted July 16, 2010 Sledge - I would if I was you, get a computer person to check your system. BestBuy has in store and Geeksquad there may be some others. I would explain the situation and ask them for the cost to clean your system of any little nasty's that may be lingering somewhere deep in the recesses. After that I would put a password on it and let no one use, especially kids of all ages. I have had this problem before, now nobody uses my computer and I quit using Windows and switched to a Mac it has made my life much simpler and I like it that way. One of my last experiences with Windows found me hurtling my desktop out my back door into the yard and then jumping up and down on it swearing like the sailor I am. Now I don't do Windows anymore. Moderator pacmanx1 Posted July 16, 2010 Moderator Share Posted July 16, 2010 Maybe totally off or wrong but try to shut your computer down and bring it back up, make sure it is completely off and see if this would help. This may help, it would be like rebooting your computer. I noticed that my old computer would stop reading my mouse and when I shut my computer down and bring it up again it would work. Hope This Helps
