What Do You Think About E-Benifits

Rate this question

COOL BREEZE

Question

I called the 800# to ask a question about my claim with the rating team and the discussion turned to e-benefits. The rep asked me what I thought about the site. I let him know that there were a lot of vets that were unable to get to a VA hospital to sign up. It appears he was actually doing a survey at the conclusion of my issue as the VA wants to know what needs to to be done to make it more easier to use. My suggestions: offer more sites to enroll, lets VETS know how and where to go, and walk them through the entire process as there is a lot of vets who are not familiar with using a computer-logging in, and knowing how to use the site.offer a better status then what is currently given. He said the e-benefits site doesn't state anything different than they do. Well, by providing more better information that would cut down on the 800# calls, save the tax payer money. Also I let him know when you send a letter in it doesn;t state what it is, just medical information received ,ect. When a VSo sends a letter in, it would be nice to know that particular letter was received-not just a generic statement that is meaningless as it takes forever to get something inputted into the system.

Ebenefits does not work for many Veterans and signing up at Hospital is not all that important. I signed and have myhealthevet login and still could not get ebenefits to work. It took them over 3 months to respond to a simple email and than did not get a helpful answer.

I'm in the same boat as Pete! I've been trying for months to use Ebenefits with no success. I've basically given up on using it at this point!

And now they want our input. Question is are they sincere in doing so. They recently added more links which does us know good as all we want to know is what is going on with our claims . It took me over 6 months and 3 trips to the hospital before I could get logged on, then I had to go back to get an upgrade to view the claim site.

I use eBenefits twice a day to check the status of my claims once around noon and then again in the evening. Had a few minor issues getting signed up but works great now. They frequently have it down for a few minutes for maintenance and I have not been able to get in to the mobile site on my phone for several days.

Hello All Hope All Is Well

In my expierience the VA will be more than happy to retrieve information from a Veteran however when it comes to reply or responce thats a whole new issue.

Whether it be electronic in writing or verbally in person ETC.This is my expierience with these AGENCIES.

In my opinion with information at hand with the Various Agencies they attempt to find a responce or a RULE OR LAW to substantiate there interpretation ,perception and or indifference of what the matter at hand is.

The Bottom line is The Veterans Administration and its Employees may have the best interest for there own jobs and not the Veteran and families

I also believe in my expierience misdirection and delay is at the top of the list for the Veterans Administration.

And Finally as for electronic filing or comunication with VA you all answered the question in how long it takes for a reply.
