Berta
They will go back to the date you filed the claim if it is award. When did you file the claim?
Bonzai
Welcome to Had It! A lot depends on when you filed a claim for Schizophrenic/PTSD. I think you are asking if your claim is automatically made if you are getting treatment for a condition, and the answer would be no. I know some claims are inferred, but I do not know which ones. For my condition, I was initially treated over two years prior to being awarded 10% for it, and that took a RO hearing. But this is just what I experienced. Sidney56
I first sign up with the VA in Feb1990 for Schizoprenic/PTSD my question is how far back will the VA go in paying back back pay they gave me 30% for my feet i was a Partrooper in the Army I filed for an increase in my rating back in 2005 and was just granted 100% P&T retro back to 2005. So yes, I think is when you file for an increase for worsening of condition and it is finally granted. I had to go the route of BVA though. Different cases are handled according to the evidence they have and what they need to make a decision. Can be a long road depending on the complexity of your case. crowell98335
To tell you the truth it is still a fog in my head I think it was Feb 9, 1990 was the first time I went to the VA hosp
HadIt.com Elder Philip Rogers Posted April 19, 2011 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted April 19, 2011 crowell98335 - there are only three ways I see you getting backpay to 1990. One is that you have an on going claim still under active continuous prosecution from 1990. Two is that they made a CUE on the denial of that claim that is now final. And lastly that the original claim from 1990 was never decided and therefore still remains an open claim. If it doesn't meet any of those conditions I doubt you'll get any retro money. jmo pr To tell you the truth it is still a fog in my head I think it was Feb 9, 1990 was the first time I went to the VA hosp
HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted April 19, 2011 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted April 19, 2011 I think what Phil is saying covers it. Even if any of those situations are true you will still need help I think. The VA is going to fight it. They will lie and squirm and try not to pay. My opinion!
