Ao Claim Settled, But What About Reimbursement?

Hi All,

My nehmer claim for AO/IHD was granted at 10% with an EED of 2003

I am just curious and so have to ask the question concerning treatment cost paid by veteran for IHD treatment.

I have been under VA care for some time now and my Nehmer claim has a EED going back to 2003. So I have been paying for medication and testing since that time from my pocket.

Is there any re-imbursement process from the VA or is that money just gone?

Any answers greatly appreciated.

Well because it is a SC disability now the meds should be covered without copay. I would go to the eligibility office at your VAMC and talk to them.

I would contact finance and ask how I can recoup my expenses since 2003.

I did it. I got all my co pays back with inbterest.

You can do it also. Just ask the Billing department to reconcile all meds and co pays.

Any copays you made to the VA for Meds for IHD will be reimbursed to you but you have to ask for it. You should contact your VA Pharmacy or call the phone number on the top right portion of your billing statement. It will take about thirty days to get reimbursement back to your EED. The VA will not reimburse you for any Meds you obtained outside the VA.
