Diver 4 US Navy Posted July 27, 2011 Share Posted July 27, 2011 Hello Hadit members, Proud Navy Diver 2nd Class/2nd Class Petty Officer here with my 1st post. I trolled this forum often when first applying to the VA when I left Active Duty in Sept of last year, reading other Vet stories and just learning the ropes. The VA reps, the American Legion, and my Senator's office helped immensely along this way but I thought you guys deserved a heartfelt thank you as well. I am overjoyed to report I recieved my initial rating yesterday from the claim I made via Quick Start to the Winston-Salem VA. 50% = $899.00 with back pay to OCT 01 of 2010 30% = Mental Condition 30% = Skin Condition This could not come at a better time for me and my family (I have a beautiful wife and a 5 month old baby daughter whom both mean the world to me). I made sure that my dependents are all squared away on my paperwork, and my paper check was mailed out today ! $ $ $ soon ! ! HOOYAH ! ! God bless America's Veterans.
