Ss At 62 Vs Ssd

Have Marine Vietnam Veteran that is 62 and is drawing his SS. He recently got 70% VA Disablity & has filed for TDIU. His question is can he put in for SSD & have his SS changed over from the regular SS he started at 62?

Thanks, I'll see him today at the VVMF Wall That Heals & tell him. I really don't know why he didn't apply for this already but think it all moved so fast he got carried away. He went from nothing to 70% since Feb., so I only regret that he didn't apply for SSD at the same time.

It's possible that your friend may be able to get SSDI retro as well. The SSA regs are as complex as the VA's.
