Capt.
Hello John and Hurry, This is really a good question and I am facing the same thing having a notice from my lawyer last week on this. My first C and P scheduled several months ago was canceled because the the folder had not made it to the VA facility where I was to have a QTC exam. The clerk told me I would have to have it rescheduled. The lawyer called the DRO who had ordered it and the DRO changed his mind and decided to send me to a VAMC. The lawyer said that this was better because the whole folder will be used at a VAMC with a staff doctor doing the C and P using the whole folder. My lawyer went on to say that the QTC is normally not as favorable and they only look at part of the folder and normally do not get as favorable a C and P decision as the ones given by VAMC. So I am waiting for an examination date at the VAMC for my C and P. Based on what the lawyer has said I would take the VAMC over QTC anytime. We have many members here that have gone before the QTC and have had many complaints as posted in times past here. As always though remember to NEVER GIVE UP. God Bless, C.C. As john999 posted - getting a copy of the C&P exam from a QTC exam is harder - impossible for most, until after the rating decision has been made. Are you already SC'd for lumbar spine and this C&P is for an increase OR Is the claim issue of lumbar spine not yet SC'd ?
Papa
I have had all my exams with QTC, and it is very hard to get a copy of the report. It usually takes a few months, as they say they are not authorized to give us the report, the VA can only do that. I hope Carlie is right and you get a rating before you get the report. I have been waiting way over a year after I got my reports from the VA, and I have a Lawyer . I don't know what QTC stands for, but I think it stands for Quick Take Cash. Capt.
Hello all, Carlie is right , QTC is a contract company that has a billion dollar + budget a year. Now comes the juicy part. Not many Veterans realize that the corruption with the VA goes all the way to the top and has even been brought to the attention of the House Veterans Affairs Committee even while the past Secretaries of the VA were on suppose to be free of conflict of interest. For example one of the past Secretaries that became the CEO of QTC was Anthony Princippi. HMMMMmmmmmm. Also when Jim Nicholson past Secretary of VA finally resigned because of pressure from candid questions from the HVAC committe nailing him , the recruit to take his place was Dr. James Peake,,,,, Mr. Walter Reid in charge specialist. The Doctor seemed to have forgot until brought up by one of the HVAC members that he was on the board of directors of QTC during nomination hearings. It goes on and on and on. No matter how you slice it QTC is not the Veterans Friend and has been involved with huge waste of tax payers dollars , huge bonuses and conflict of interest with many Top VA officials being involved. If you or I were to do our business as they do we would end up in jail. Just thought some of you would like to know some of our past history and I'm sure that we will have others to expound on some other interesting little matters with QTC. Anyway you slice it , QTC is not the friend of the Veteran and the Veteran should avoid if possible any examination there if given a choice between VAMC or QTC. Many QTC flawed decisions has added to the 1.2 million plus claims backlog. (NO it is not 500000 claims backlogged as some of our service organizations have put out to the media) . Actually I would expect the number to be higher as it was over 1 million 2 years ago with no help in sight. Yes Nehmer has started to look at some of those claims but it has still not put any dent in the real numbers. NOPE ..... send me to VAMC ......please. I don't want to be a savings for QTC and then have my claim denial split up in their fraudulent bonus system. It really makes my blood boil...... thats why I can take a Nitro pill and think I will......... Above all......remember to NEVER GIVE UP. God Bless, C.C.
