Question

So after 4 years of my appeal sitting there in the NY regional office, it has been moved to decision phase on 12/7/11, I elected a Decision review Officer (DRO). I went to the C&P eval and they gave me a GAF score of 47 and from what I understand that is pretty bad, I have looked up some figures and it shows that this GAF score equates to roughly a 70% rating, can anyone verify that? Anyone know anything about the decison phase for appeals and how long it takes? I got off the phone with a person on the 800 # and they told me for original claims that they are averaging 76 days and then the notification phase is an additional 18 days.

A GAF of 47 and not working should be 70% and TDIU 100%. That said there is more to the rating medical records and progress notes as well as opinions by Docs and linking your diagnosis to service all count.
