C&p Exam Scheduled Two Months After Getting Rated?

Rate this question

tb-1599

Question

So this is kinda wierd. In April I finally got my rating 60% for sleep apnea and a few other things. (recieved my retro and first regular check in May) today I recieved a letter for another appointment for C&P. Now this has me a little worried. Could this new appointment reduce my rating? I called to find out what the appointment was for and the call center person (very nice BTW) told me that they usually do this if they want to take another look at my rate. That it should not be reduced at all. But it might actually get increased. Should I be worried???

I can tell ya worrying won't help, so why bother? If your last C&P exam was more than a yr ago, it is possible they are doing a review and could reduce or increase your rating. I vote for reduce, so be prepared just in case. I'd call the C&P scheduling office and find out the reason it's being scheduled. jmo

What are you rated for on the SA (sleep apnea) 30 or 50%? What are the other's also. I'm trying to figure what disabilities you have that might trigger a reducement if this is the case. I wouldn't think it would be the SA since you were tested for it. So I'm thinking the other's. The thing is, this new C&P exam could very well be something like a retest for a higher rating. Think positive. But be prepared if it turns into a negative.

Then, if I were you, I'd take a very close look at the physical results to see if something was left out or incorrectly recorded.

Some of my less recent VA annual/semi-annual physicals show obvious signs of "gun decking", usually by an NP.
