midnight340
Congratulations! May this be a great help to you... and yes, continue with the process to get you and your family the 100% if you can. I too have been extremely impressed with the people I have worked with at my Va med center, mostly in the mental health programs, but also the medical personnel. I know it isn't that way for everyone, but there is good care much of the time. There is no denying the claims process sucks and is tough to go through. Everyone hang in there and keep fighting for what you deserve. Edited September 15, 2012 by midnight340
USCG CWO4
Got the brown envelope today and it adds up to 86.39% which rounds up to 90%, which is what i thought. The only thing i am confused about is that after the list of rated conditions it says "Entitlement to special monthly compensation based on loss of use of a creative organ is granted from May 2012". I don't know what the entitlement or amount is and there isn't any amount added to the base wife and 1 child amount on the front page. So is there an additional amount and do i have to apply for it? Thanks for any help. They also said in their letter that i should get a service agancy to represent me. So far i have done everything on my own! Take care Bob Edited September 18, 2012 by bob1364
johnjjr
Bob, The entitlement is SMC K for ED and the monthly amount is, I think, $96.00. Edited September 19, 2012 by johnjjr SEMPER FI ONCE A MARINE, ALWAYS A MARINE
USCG CWO4
I have a question: My nml payment is scheduled to be made on the first and it is the rated amount, but in my decision it states "Entitlement to special monthly compensation based on loss of use of a creative organ is granted from 01 May, 2012". How do I get the SMC, 99 dollars a month I believe. Do I have to apply for it special or was this just missed when scheduling my payment? I am grateful for any help.
