Does State Congressman Have Pull At Regional Office

I just filled out a privacy form to have my state congressman inquire into my appeal that has been going on for over 3 and half years.

Is it likely this will help? They said that it will be expedited but wanted to know if this really works?

I tried your method before but last year I found Secretary Shineski's email on the web and emailed his office. I had a call the next morning from a rep in his office and a CnP scheduled the next day. Claim got closed in 2 months.

I don't have his email but with a lot of digging, it can be found.

My Congressman got my ships logs from both cruises. He also got medals that I missed out on after I had left service.

He flagged my claims in his system, but there wasn't any speeding up of the claim.

John Mc Cain office looked into my claim and it did not help,. It is what it is..............

They can help but only when you have gone down the road and have shown you have a serious issue and may have been unfairly treated. In the beginning they will just make a form inquiry and send you a copy.
