Need Help In Raising My Percentage Of Disability

Question

I have been rated 60% percent for many years, I served from 1978to 1989 in US Navy. I have 6 herniated discs in my spine three in neck C-2 C-3 and C-5 and three in lover spine L_4, L5 and S-1 from a fall aboard ship. I suffer also from PTSD and Sleep Apenea. I think it is time I was increased to at least 80%, with the amount of arthritis I have and pain getting up and down. How do I get an increase for this, since all my records are on file, medically and Mentally?

I also go to the Veterans Hospital in West Haven for all benefits. Who would I contact to up my rating for when I was given the 60%, I did not have the PTSD or Sleep Apenea in my records?

My e-mail is b_mccurrach@comcast.net, any advice or help would be appreciated!

the FDC's have more than a little history. Veterans have been submitting these claims for over 2 years now, with quick results.

I agree, with the amount of experience on this site, there will always be different opinions.

I honestly believe that the way to submit any claim is on a VA FM 21-526ez. Yes, the veteran can submit a VA FM 21-526b, only if they want to wait a couple of years before they receive a rating. JMHO

I had my CSVO submit all of my different claims, and I don't know what form she used. However, I did just receive my c-file from the VA and I did see a page stating "This is a Fully Developed Claim", which was lined through and someone penned "this is not a fully developed claim" below in in handwritting. I did not know this happened, but my claim was worked in less than a year. I think the VA will change the claim status when appropriate to help the veteran, but do not know that for sure.

I have not had a chance to dig into my c-file, as I just got it. So, there might be a explanation in there somewhere??

In VBA time - 2 years is a babe in the woods.

Heck we've had my healthevet and ebenefits much longer

and they can still be a cluster-f, at times.

VBA claimants are in a mess and so are VA employees -

have been for a couple of decades to be truthful -

regardless of how a claim is submitted.

Before you know it the FDC's will be gone and something else will

take their place - a new name for a new mess - SOP.
