Question

I applied for SSDI in September and finally turned in my function forms and employer stuff in mid January 2014. The VA sent them my medical records for which im medically retired. I was just told today via phone by social security that I am approved. My rate is $1373/mo. I will follow up with what they determined to help others, I just wanted to share. I figured they would deny but.much to.my surprise it has been approved and no exam was scheduled.

just giving an update to the fellow vets that have helped or followed my thread. I just checked eBenefits and my case was closed. I haven't rec'd the letter yet but I went into VA letters and it says 90% but being paid 100% TDIU. It also said permanent and total box YES. well I'm grateful. This truly moved fast. Applied in December, C&P in Feb and now a decision April...astonished actually. I can now focus on getting help and i will try and help others as others have helped me.

I had posted in IMO previously. I have a few questions, should I still pursue the IMO for Sleep Apnea 2nd to SC PTSD? I have an old appeal from 2011 still out there which was originaly claim for OSA that they denied. They gave me a CPAP, so I clearly have it. With the P&T rating and 100% TDIU, just wondering if I'm pushing for too much. It would still keep my overall at 90% (its like 93 actaully if I got 50% for OSA)....I know IMO's you usually have to pay. I did speak to a doctor that was referred to me by another vet in ARIZ. he was looking for me to concentrate on the tdiu. I guess I'm just confused. I'm not trying to be greedy. I just want to make sure I'm covered. I also was seeing if my DM2 was attributal to PTSD, or HTN, which I'm SC'd for both. I have never filed a claim for that.

sorry to be all over the place.
