Question

"Miller then laid out a strict deadline for VA to fully comply with his subpoena: ”Please provide any and all remaining documents responsive to the May 8 subpoena by 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014. If the committee does not receive all responsive documents by that time, we will not hesitate to pursue any means necessary to compel compliance, including judicial action in federal court, if ultimately necessary.”

Burn their toes! If heat is not applied the VA will revert to its old ways as soon as it is out of the headlines. The Discharge Review Boards, and BCMR should be next to be investigated.

IMHO, unless the committee stationed an armed guard 24/7 at every shredder the VA has, they won't see many documents that will implicate upper management. Those documents are chewed up and either burned or buried in a landfill. CNN was all over this scandal till Shenseki resigned. Since then, they've moved on to their usual fare of murder and mayhem.

Monday will be an interesting day for the VA:

PHOENIX — Investigators have determined that more than 100,000 veterans nationwide were kept off waiting lists for medical appointments, and Acting Veterans Affairs Secretary Sloan Gibson said the nation will learn Monday how many patients were relegated to "secret lists."

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/06/05/va-scandal-sloan-gibson-phoenix/10033543/

This is part of the VA's problem:

"A database of paid claims by the VA since 2001 includes 167 in which the words "delay in treatment" is used in the description. The VA paid out a total of $36.4 million to settle those claims, either voluntarily or as part of a court action."

"More than 100 payments go out every year to resolve claims that veterans died due to mishaps by VA medical centers, according to an investigation conducted in partnership between this newspaper and WSB-TV in Atlanta."

http://www.stripes.com/news/us/delay-in-treatment-a-factor-in-more-than-100-deaths-at-va-centers-1.283701

This is the DATA base I have mentioned here before, to which VA alters the true stats.

Since the VA can ignore and manipulate the NPDB Data Base mandate, no one really knows how many vets have had care at VA so negligent that they died from it.

If that end product for a FTCA issue (not to mention Sec 1151 wrongful death awards) can be so easily manipulated, it was no problem at all for VAs around the country to manipulate waiting lists because, if the vet died due to delayed treatment.....even if the family sued or filed a 1151 claim.....there is no accountability factor they (VA) had to worry about........until now.

The VA clowns who created all this pain need to burn in hell. We must put them in hell somehow because they won't go willingly.
