Question

"Miller then laid out a strict deadline for VA to fully comply with his subpoena: ”Please provide any and all remaining documents responsive to the May 8 subpoena by 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014. If the committee does not receive all responsive documents by that time, we will not hesitate to pursue any means necessary to compel compliance, including judicial action in federal court, if ultimately necessary.”

"According to the Center for Investigative Reporting, as many as 19,500 veterans died while waiting on a VA claim decision in the fiscal year ending September 2012."

This is from the B & M Op Ed piece I just posted under real claims backlog

Oversight Hearing on Data Manipulation and Access to VA Healthcare: Testimony from GAO, IG and VA

Tonight Jun 9, 2014 7:30pm
http://veterans.house.gov/hearing/oversight-hearing

The Subpoena deadline expired minutes ago at 9 AM.

The hearing tonight (which I assume..but not sure..... will be on C span and on live feed via PC at above link and will focus on what the H VAC got due to the subpeona, among
the other issues.

On June 20th the H VAC will focus on the bonuses that senior VA executives got ,who were involved in the 'secret lists'.

"More than 100,000 of America's military veterans were victims of bogus waiting lists for medical appointments, according to a Department of Veterans Affairs inquiry, and acting VA Secretary Sloan Gibson said the nation will learn Monday how many patients in each city were relegated to "secret lists."

"Gibson said there is evidence that more than 100,000 patients were caught up in the nationwide web of improper scheduling practices. The VA will provide details on Monday when it releases findings from audits at roughly 150 medical centers. Also on Monday, Gibson said, the VA will disclose patient wait-time statistics for many VA facilities across the country."

http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/arizona/politics/2014/06/06/va-chief-vets-fake-wait-lists/10053681/

( By Monday Gibson means today June 9th 2014)

This is the info Chairman Miller wants today.

I just hope this scandal ,in the long run, will get to the heart of the 'fake' claims wait lists....too.
