@superior, yes, I should. I've scheduled countless therapy appointments. But when you can't work and you have to take care of your kids (5 and 7), dragging them along to your therapy appointment is not the best option. My closest VA is a hour away, so after I try to figure out where my kids can go during that time, it turns into a 4 hour excursion, and that's if I don't sit in traffic. So yes, ideally therapy sounds great, but the logistics are not very supportive of ongoing care.

CorieMboh,

Thanks for your service.

Since the nearest VA is an hour away, I would recommend you request fee base authorization from VA to get seen by a local doctor; just my opinion with your circumstance, they may approve on a case by case basis.

MRRRR5,

I was medically retired, and although I pay for tricare prime, I do not have the budget for weekly therapy, which is what I will need. Nor do I have childcare available. So while on paper it may look like a feasible solution I just don't see how therapy (VA or not) will help me. I will look into it though.
