Jon&Lisa
Well I had been reading everyone's success stories by contacting Allison hickey and I thought to myself it's been 2 1/2 years on our dependency claim what can it hurt to contact her. I did and within five days our children were added to my husband's award and we received our retroactive pay. Thank you very much for putting this information out so all And Veterans and their families can get results. NavyWife and Pete53
silverdollar22
Glad it worked for you also!! She is something else. Still can't believe things move that quickly when she is involved. Take care, Eric
Berta
Wow! That is great. Sec Bob has never replied to me. I think maybe Ms Hickey will. I am only asking for one thing....assurance from VA Central that, this time my RO will actually read my evidence for my pending claims.. I was in the backlog twice for a total of about 14 years, because my RO would not read my evidence. None of it. Still I succeeded on those claim but it took the BVA in one case, and a different RO under Nehmer in the other case. In around 2005--- 2006? I forget, I wrote to Acting VA Sec Mansfield asking him to submit my evidence and why I asked and I enclosed it all. He did that. He sent my evidence under his letterhead as Acting Sec , to my VARO with my evidence. They ignored it all again. I went through a lot of the same BS when I FTCAed them. The RO had only sent the OGC 'some' of the evidence, leaving out the most probative stuff. Good thing I was dealing directly with OGC and VA Central in DC at that point, by phone. I sure got that BS straightened out fast. It is great to know that Sec Bob and Ms. Hickey are actually helping veterans. . GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University ! When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we." Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

Jon&Lisa
Thank you everyone. We also Just found out today that my husband's aid and attendance was also approved. So now every open claim that we have had with the VA for over 2 1/2 years is officially closed and we were awarded on each one. Thank God for small miracles.
