tdiu Tdiu Bennifits Chapt 35/ Champva Questions

OK I was just granted TDIU thank God!! And now I need to navigate the web of benys that opened up for me. I have 3 kids under 18 and I have a feeling with my new income I will have to insure them for medical. Currently they are on Paramount advantage thru the state. So what is champva Will it insure them will I have to pay a monthly premium? Any links or advice will be appreciated. I filled out the PDF application but it says they could take 8 months how will I insure my kids until then. I take it chp 35 is for educational bennifits but just unclear. Thanks again guys and gals,, you all took the edge off and really helped me get through this mentally.

ChampVA is without a doubt the best benefit for a 100 percent veterans family. There are zero premiums. You need to listen to this Radio show we did a couple of weeks ago with Mr Glen Johnson from ChampVA. He is the Public affairs officer.

and in 6 weeks I get my cards

Six weeks does sound right. It took about six weeks for my wife to receive her Champva card. You can also get reimbursed for any out of pocket medical expenses (doctors, labs, pharmacy, etc.) incurred for your kids back to the effective date of your 100% P &T award. You will receive info on reimbursement when you receive your Champva package. This is great insurance with no premiums and you can get prescriptions for your children free if you have no other prescription coverage covering them. The free prescriptions are mailed to you. This is also explained in the Champva package.
