21 Million Malpractice Settlement Va

Berta

Question

"The United States was recently ordered to pay over $21 million to a veteran and his wife for damages from medical malpractice that led to a second stroke Veterans Affairs doctors failed to prevent. The victim, veteran Michael Farley, was 78 years old and the funds will pay for the remainder of his care until his death."

Thsi is one reason why I continue to aggressovely fight the `1151 Stroke my husband had, that contributed to his death.

Very few veterans have direct service connectable strokes, (I think Chesty Puller did but the VA gave him all sorts of problems and usually VA only SCs a stroke as a secondary to an established SC heart disease or diabetes, with a strong IMO.

Very few claims like that...VA does not know how to properly treat strokes at all.

GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University !

When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief

Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was

simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we."

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

Yup, but it doesn't look like he'd be able to enjoy pizza. I think he'd much rather have his health back. And the worst part is the VA(and the Gov't) doesn't care!!! The taxpayers just end up picking up the bill. jmo

If that Vet lived in Texas he would be limited to 250,000

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
