The depression and the two almost suicides today have brought me to my knees.

I have not called my wife yet because she is keeping our grandbabies.

I am going to the VA emergency room and have no idea what to expec.

I pray too that the VA will give you good care today and will ask my church prayer group to pray for you as well.

Sierra is right...we box ourselves in and then depression takes over.I think everyone here has had days so bad that they felt helpless......The fact that you asked us for prayers shows me you have Faith and Faith can overcome anything!

And they do, even if it sometimes seems in twisted thinking, like they don't.

Breathe slow in and out. Push out belly ... big on in-breath. Contract belly on out-breath. Clear it out. Breathe in new. There is a message for you as well as strength & courage to continue.

Then do that again. And one more time. Until you reach 10.

That's what I do, and it helps me.

PS ... a few weeks ago i started taking a great product again that really stopped 75%+ of my depression: one a day of this...

"Resvereage Organics. Active Ubiquinol CoQ10 with Resveratrol". it's expensive but omg it so helped me.

_{Thank you all for the prayers. I ended up spending a week in Psych unit about 75 miles from home. They didn't have room for me at my local VAMC they sent me by ambulance to a unit in GA.}

_{I am feeling much better after they changed all my Psych meds. I'm going to take a little time off and finish adjusting to the changes.}

_{Hopefully now I can get into some more frequent therapy and try to learn to cope better.}

_{The unit was very humbling, there are a lot of very sick vets out there and for many their future don't hold hardly anything positive.}

_{I am a very blessed man compared to many.}

_{I already knew that was the case, but spending a week with some of my fellow vets, both male & female, just allowed me to see first hand.}
