Does anyone know how often Ebenefits updates status for Vets to view???

When my claim was nearing the end (review of evidence to prep for notification, I rarely checked it before then), it seemed to update around 1630 CST. Not scientific but I typically waited until after that time and would see changes. Between pending decision approval and prep for notification, it updated the same day.

Hope that helps.

PS I am one of those that checks it daily btw. I know we are told not to but I rarely do what Im told.

Brother if i can give you some advice that i often dont follow...

Dont play the Ebenefits "whats behind door number one" game.  It will drive you crazy checking every few hours for an update.  Try and make it so you check once every monday or something to that effect.

Also Ebenefits statuses are nice, but they are not authoritative at all.

More often the reflect who has your claim at that moment, than any real progress.  Youll see it bounce around sometimes from "review of evidence" to "gathering of evidence" or even from "preparation for decision" or "pending decision approval" to then get bounced back to "review of evidence".  doesnt mean anything bad or good, it just means your claim has gone to different people and back again etc.

Check every monday and just be patient.

70% - PTSD

->50% - OSA (Secondary to PTSD)

30% - Bilateral Pes Planus w/Plantar Fasciitis

30% - Migraines

10% - Tinnitus

20% - Back

0% - bilateral shin splints

lol.  I don't think many follow this advice.  Ive been pending my BVA hearing for a few years now.  And any time there is any movement I end up checking behind doors 1 2 and 3 multiple times a day until it clicks that this is the VA and nothing is going to happen for another decade and I give up looking lol.

Then they taunt me with a letter or C&P exam and it starts all over again.

More accurate than ebenefits is a coin toss.  There are 3 possibilities:

1.  Heads...you get denied and lose.

2.  Tails....VA delays your claim and you lose time.... A lot of it.

3.  Coin lands "on edge" and stays there, neither heads nor tails.  In this extremely rare event,  you win!!!!
