I am not trying to post a political post just passing information forward. I was half asleep when I heard this on the news and wanted to know more about it.

A potentially large group within Social Security are people who, in the language of federal gun laws, are unable to manage their own affairs due to "marked subnormal intelligence, or mental illness, incompetency, condition, or disease."

I dont think its completely off base personally. I know a lot of vets fight having their guns taken away. many times it is wrong but i do think that if one has severe mental issues, specifically ones where violence is present and common then it is warranted.

I do think the way the VA often does this is not right or legal. One should be able to make their case in front of a judge before their fiduciary responsibilities or gun ownership is taken away.
