Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Vync Posted July 29, 2015 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Share Posted July 29, 2015 My VAMC abuses the Choice Card program. I was told it would take four months to get in to my primary care doctor. I then asked to use the Choice Card program. Suddenly, they said an appointment just opened a couple of weeks later. I went to the appointment and was seen several hours after my scheduled appointment time. The people at the front desk said it was a walk in appointment, which was why I was seen last. They said I never had a 'real' appointment. What's worse, is that the primary care doc has to be involved in every single instance you want to use the card. They invented an entirely new layer of red tape.
Notorious Kelly
I wonder if this was The Plan from the beginning of Choice: blockade veterans from actually getting better care then redirect the funds. Not implausible with this criminal cabal.
Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Vync Posted July 29, 2015 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Share Posted July 29, 2015 Good point, Kelly, considering it is nearly impossible for any government program to ever really shrink or go away. Agencies are told to spend every last dollar and then request increases beyond their current budget. When the government wants to give them less than requested, they redefine the word "cut" from a negative, even though it is really just a smaller increase. And then they start the Potomac shuffle and start shifting the funds around to make it look like certain departments are hurting even more. pwrslm
The Choice Card began because of human manipulation of appointments. We are spending billions because VA Personnel didn't do the right thing, period. The new program does not work because of human manipulation, nothings changed. The VA needs to establish appointments by computer, AI can set appointments, all you have to do is program how long each appointment should be, establish dates that they need to fill, and its first come, first serve. They can even calculate spare time to deal with emergent situations. This would tell the whole truth about whats up with the VA, the budget for computers and programmers in the Federal Government is HUGE, and VA is a big part of it. I don't see the VA ever doing anything like that. Jumpmaster and pwrslm
