C-file sent to someone else

Hello all,

Hope this isn't a repeat, I thought I wrote this yesterday evening, but now can't find it. 

Yesterday's mail brought a most interesting letter from the VA.  It was from the director of the records depot in St. Louis.  Apparently "they" sent my C-file to another Veteran.  That Vet's lawyer contacted the records office to inform them of their error.  I am still feeling quite beside myself about this.  Strangely enough, they didn't bother to send me my C-file with this letter.  So I still don't have it, but I have a letter saying someone else got it.

Lucky for me, they are offering me a free 1yr paid premium subscription to a credit monitoring service. 

I got a MH apt on Monday, not sure how that's gonna go, now, because of this. 

Any thoughts on what I should do now?  Thanks in advance.

Ask either IRIS or the Under Secretary for a status of your C file and tell them what happened.

????  I never knew VA was in the credit monitoring business.

Ok, I will, as soon as I am done here with this post.  I will email her.  I will let you know what she says or does.

The MH is therapy, I haven't had an "exam" yet. But my anxiety level is through the roof!

I was polite and mannerly, as befitting her position as a retired General and as the Under Secretary.  I made no rude or accusatory remarks.  And I told her how this is effecting my mental health and emotional well being, as well as my wife's.

It happens.  I've had over 100 pages of medical and psychological records of other veterans sent to me by the VA over the years.  Each time I notify them, it's like I'm a fly that is bothering them.  I probably should notify the veterans who had their records missent and then the news media instead.

I would think if they sent your c-file to someone else and can't find it...then everything you say could go in your favor as reasonable doubt goes to the veteran..if you don't have a c-file how can the VA prove you wrong?

Now would be a good time to get an IMO/IME

IMO would be good to get with the Dr being a specialist   and have him/she go follow the VA Guidelines & Regs 

 

Request your claim be approve upon demand to the appropriate  % using the VA 38 regs.

As for as MH just go see them and answer there questions truthfully ...c-file  missing don't mean much to them as they  type there report notes   then its placed in your C-file..this being an empty c-file...unless the VA COMES UP WITH YOURS.

you may want to let all your creditors  know about this  if someone dishonest gets your SS number they can steal your Identity.

so notify all the proper authorities  IRS, Credit Agency's  Bank, ect,,ect,,  the VA should give you some advise on this  beings its there fault.
