Family health insurance for 100% DV

Question

Hello everyone. I'm sure that there is a more appropriate place for this, and if admin would like to place this in a more appropriate place, I understand.  I have been awarded 100% but just lost my job/family health insurance.  I was looking at tricare, but I am not a retiree, just plain old ETS.  If anyone knows of any entitlements that I'm unaware of so that I can get my sick child and pregnant wife to the hospital without breaking the bank, please let me know.

Thank you all, so much!!!

Mike

Helloand thank you all for your great advice.  I have tried ChampVA who said that since i'm not P&T that I'm not eligible.

that might be a good investment into an IMO from a specialist familiar with P & T ,so that you could apply for P & T status,if your medical situation warrants it.

Also Berta, what did you mean by this.  the IMO, is that like a lawyer or similar?  I don't understand how to apply/appeal for P&T, though I'm sure I can find out elsewhere on this site.

Going to call ARM today.

Thank You,

Mike

You file a claim requesting P&T status just like a standard claim. They will then give you a form (or you can download it) that you give to former employers to fill out with some basics of work history and challenges that you had. Then you send it in and wait.
