allansc2005
Got a veteran who is 90% scheduler, and 100% P&T IU. Vet does not get a pension. The vet has numerous SC spine conditions, including radiculopathy of both the upper and lower spine, as well as sciatica. Here lately, the veteran is having trouble getting dressed, bathing, getting out of bed.. due to back pain. Q. Is Aid and Attendance only for those receiving a pension? What can the veteran do to get some help with mobility? Where does the veteran start to get help? VA forms? Thanks. Allan 2-2-0 HUAH!
0 Founder Tbird Posted September 16, 2017 Founder Share Posted September 16, 2017 Veterans Affairs recently approved me for a HISA grant they doc requested a roll in shower and it got approved. She was suppose to request a walk in tub, so she had to redo the paperwork and resubmit. The person who got the shower approved told me not to get my hopes up for the walk in tub and I am still waiting to hear. I only have 1 bathroom in the house and the ability to soak my legs and back would be great, and it won't decrease my homes resale value. They approved me based on lymphedema and arthritis. 0 allansc2005
Thanks Tbird and John for the info. Gastone, so the veteran can send his PCP an email through myhealthevet and request a Housebound form be filled out? Does the PCP file the Housebound document, or does the veteran? This veteran's VA PCP/ Dr. is a jackass by the way, who wouldn't even fill out a DBQ for the veteran! So, we will give this a try. Thanks all. Allan 2-2-0 HUAH!
