BrendaAnderson
That's very good that you have started a new medication.
Holllie Greene
...just be mindful of those steroids...one of the side effects is cataracts. I have multiple sclerosis (MS) and after many many years of Presnisone for exacerbations of the disease (Presnisone both by pills and IV ) I developed cataracts. The surgery was performed by a civilian ophthalmologist who said I was his youngest cataract patient. Take care of yourself.
HadIt.com Elder GBArmy Posted August 3, 2019 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted August 3, 2019 Sorry to hear that Hollie. We have a friend who was prescribed presnisone for years and now her knees and ankles are shot. Some of these steroids are really wonderful, but many do have serious side effects if taken over a long time. And, unfortunately, it takes a long time for the medical profession to weigh all the good and bad on the new drugs. It happens over and over because the trials aren't long enough. I hope cataracts are your only adverse effects fro that drug.
