0 Moderator broncovet Posted December 2, 2019 Moderator Share Posted December 2, 2019 What kind of discharge did you get?? This site says the (Veteran) can not request an ELS discharge. If you need a discharge upgrade, you can apply for one. https://www.thebalancecareers.com/entry-level-separations-what-is-an-els-3356960 https://www.va.gov/discharge-upgrade-instructions/

0 vetquest
Unless you were in for less than 180 days it is not ok to give you an ELS discharge.
0 Lead Moderator ShrekTheTank Posted December 2, 2019 Lead Moderator Share Posted December 2, 2019 Hey @Realcooldude Looks like we need some more information to help you. How long were you in service before this happened? Did this happen in service, or was it aggravated by something the military had you doing? Did a doctor put in for the ELS discharge? Have you filed a claim? Are you rated for any disability?

It sounds to me as if the Military did more harm to your shoulder , if your still having problems because of what Military medical personal did you should be able to get a service connected rating. B
