Question

Is Chronic Pain Syndrome categorized by VA as a psychiatric disorder?

Did things change under the revisions of DSM-5 so now it is Somatic Symptom Disorder?

VA did lump chronic pain disorder into my SC mental health condition.  The VA would still not grant me 100% for MH. I actually got 100% for neuropathy of arms and legs.  Back in 1972 I was granted 10% for bipolar condition.  Who ever heard of just a ten percent rating for bipolar?  VA was just low balling mental health conditions in those days before PTSD.  They would DX you with "personality disorder".  You had to be a raving maniac to get 100% in those days.  I don't think they even had a chronic pain DX.
