Anybody Use Dr. Bash Imo / Ime?

Rate this question

tssnave

Question

1. Has anybody used Dr. Bash or his associate for an IMO / IME? He advertises at vawatchdog.org and says he prevails 80-90% of the time at BVA. If so, were you happy with his service?

2. How do you circumvent the four letter restriction on the hadit search engine? So much of what we do with the VA uses an acronym that this restriction makes it difficult to look stuff up. For instance, "Dr Bash IMO IME" netted me nothing more than an error message that one or more of my words had four or less letters in them. Even if I spelled out doctor and independent medical opinion I still don't know how to get Bash as an additional search critera. Plus, how many of us write out independent medical opinion in the subject line? ARRRGGGG! There's gotta be a way around this that I just haven't figured out. Please share the secret with me.

Thanks,

ts

Discredit Dr Bash is what they are trying to do.

Practically everything the AMC stated in this denial is false.

Where on earth would I get service records with my name on them, if not from the DVA? Maybe the DVA thought it best to give me records they cant prove are authentic?

Maybe Dr Bash with years of education & experience dicided to throw all that out the window in order to lie and get my claim approved?

I requested a copy of the C-file back in 2000 from the RO, before it went to the AMC. I requested a complete copy of SMR's from 1975 until 1998 or so. The Seattle RO has "all" my original service records. St Luis has copies of some. I recieved about a third of my SMR's from the RO. They won't release more than that.

Dr Bash would have never wasted his time if I didn't keep up to date records. C-file or medical records.

Dr Bash & the PVA have stated even though I canceled the MS claim in 2003 that due to the records a claim should be filed & I should be awarded direct SC for multiple sclerosis and the spinal issues, fibromyalgia, Chronic pain, depression, etc. That was in 2005.

Theres

So I have

1) VA examiners opinion with examination- completely favorable

1) Private medical opinion by a local family practioner with examination that supports the DVA C&P opinion. Fully favorable.

4) IMO's from Dr Bash who supports the C&P opinion and the private Dr's IMO.

Thats six favorable opinions to the DVA's three unfavorable.

What I need is a federal prosucutor to file charges of obstruction of justice.

When we get a justice dept in this country again, i'll try to make that happen.

Hi allen,

Two things I see in the SSOC.

1.) VA does not have a record of you requesting or recieving your c-file. DR. Bash's IMO without c-file is worthless.

2.) Even if he did have your c-file it seems that he based his opinion on the fact that you had a MVA. You could have been in 12 accidrntd in service but without an injury or diagnoses in your SMR's you are missing one of the Hickson elements.

Actually 3 things.

3.) Your first complete C&P falls under number 2 (no not that # 2), if you don't have the inservice occurance(hickson element) you could have 20 opinions stating "most likely" sercive connected and the VA does not have to give them any weight.

just my opinion.

I guess those requests for a copy of the c-file & the DVA's responce that they sent what I requested will help.

I recieved my first IMO from Dr Bash in the winter of 2005.

Dr Bash asked that I send him what I have & he would look it over.

A week later he asked that I get my file organized & sent to him.

About two weeks later, Dr Bash sent back a medical diagnosis of Multiple sclerosis and that this began in service.

He also provided an opinion as to SC for the Spinal issues.

He said I needed to send the records he picked out of the C-file, SMR's and medical history since service to the AMC. Which I did according to his instructions.

The AMC completely ignored the first IMO I sent, March-05, failed to reconize it or give it any weight, claim denied in april05 and the Issue of MS completely ignored and dropped.

After another IMO from Dr Bash in April & May 05,the AMC says in a letter that they don't think DR Bash had the C-file in front of him when he gave his opinions. They said this could take some time for review, so be patient.

Sept 05 Dr Bash sends in another opinion stating, I have read the entire claims file and still feel all issues are service connected.

Claim denied.

Now I get this packet of BS and another denial using the same LAME excuse.

2.) Even if he did have your c-file it seems that he based his opinion on the fact that you had a MVA. You could have been in 12 accidrntd in service but without an injury or diagnoses in your SMR's you are missing one of the Hickson elements?

SPINE/MVA, Service medical records show a diagnoses and treatment for severe whiplash injury and Blunt Chest Trauma. Left arm and shoulder could not be treated with a sling due to neck swelling from the cervical sprain.

Does that cover this Hickson element?

VetDr - Your website states "Full unrestricted licenses to practice medicine in VA, MD, DC and TX." and yet neither Admiral nor I am able to come up with any information on you in the doctor's license databases. I was able to quickly find all of my docs and the the VA C&P doc's license information in my state yet I couldn't find yours in any of the states you listed.

Please provide hadit with your license numbers in each state that you are licensed in and a copy of the cv that you would include in an IMO for a VA claim.

Pete/T-bird - If VetDr does not post his license numbers and cv (resume) then I request that his posts be deleted.

Thanks,

allen,

in your soc it says "However, he does not state what specific evidence in your claim files was used to substantiate his opinion."

Why didn't Dr. Bash state the specific SMR entries that he based his opinion on? In my IMO from Bash he quoted my SMR's by dr., diagnosis and date.

Also, from your soc "The doctor stated that your multilevel degenerative changes of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines are related to your motor vehicle accident in service. "

It looks to me like you have an inservice occurrance of a cervical strain which should service connect your cervical ddd but not lumbar or thoracic.

Do you have SMR entries of lumbar or thoracic injuries?

Did you have any injuries or MVAs since service?

I think that you are getting ahead of yourself. If you want references from the Doc than maybe you should contact him yourself. I think it would be silly for a Doc to post his license number on a Web Board.

If you are skeptical that is fine but please don't run someone off who is trying to help Veterans. A number of years ago some Hadit Members ran off some people who worked for VA who were trying to help including a Lawyer who was an old friend to this Board his name rhymed with Rick so I don't confuse some of the Old Timers. I know that quite a few have been burned by VA but we need to be civil to all.

I know that this is a hot topic but please refrain from making demands I am sure that TBird is watching this thread carefully and so am I.
