ptsd Ptsd
I have a question for the HADIT Forum. My question is this regarding PTSD if i veteran meets only one of the 38 CFR criteria for 100% rating for PTSD can he be awarded 100% PTSD? Yes or No? If say for instance a veteran meets only the social occupational aspect where by he cannot secure gainful employment due to difficuly in adapting to stressful circumstances (including work like setting); inability to establish and maintain effective relationships, should not the veteran be awarded a 100% PTSD rating?? or does the veteran have to meet more than one of the 38 CFR requirements to be awarded 100% PTSD one final note if a vet is alre…

ptsd Read Those C&ps Carefully
I'm currently at 90% and being evaluated for TDIU. The doctor did a C&P psych eval (depression, PTSD) plus a Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI-II). FWIW, he said I'm unemployable. Two weeks later, my medical record had the BDI-II score but no C&P eval. Spoke with the doc and he said he had transmitted it to VARO but hadn't cut and pasted it into my medical record. Uh oh. He promised to cut and paste it into my medical record. He kept his word and it was in there the following day. Good thing I checked! He answered the question "Is patient capable of managing benefit payments to own best interests" as NO. I touched base with him again and he agreed he'…

Good Source For Help With Va Claims
The local VFW club in your home town or area, Purple Heart Association, American Legion club in your home town or area, etc., are good places to get help with your VA claims, appeals, or whatever. I live in a small town in Oklahoma and have a VFW club in town where the members are very knowledgeable in VA affairs and more than willing to help a fellow Vet. They will sit down with you, help you fill out the forms, help with getting documents, etc. They have helped over 100 Vets get their benefits. So if you have a Vet club in your area don't hesitate to ask them for help. If you don't want to got to the club house then they will also meet you at your home or their…

Congress to Hold Hearings on Nation Investigation into Discharges of Veterans Nation in the News September 13, 2010 The House Veterans Affairs Committee will hold hearings Wednesday morning into the impact of "personality disorder discharges," and allegations raised in The Nation in April that the Department of Defense is cheating veterans of health benefits through faulty "personality disorder" diagnoses. Vet Service Rep Says Leave Well Enough Alone
Awarded 100% P & T. Have many other illnesses that could account for additional SC. Advised by vet.rep to just let it go since I am not scheduled for any further examinations. In other words...don't rock the boat, leave well enough alone so your file doesn't get brought back up for review. That makes sense and you don't exactly get more than 100%. In otherwords is it worth the risk?

Senate Approves Cola Increase For Disabled Vets
We all know that saying something and doing something are two different things. I could not find the full article even if there is a full article, there may not be a full article and for this to happen will be a miracle but never the less, I will pass it on. If someone can find more information or the full story please post it. I found this on WWW.Veteranstoday.com, it was under the Top 10 Veterans Stories in Today's News and the date is supposed to be 9/23/2010.

Nod Time
Honestly I do listen and follow the advice here but at the time I had my hands full fighting the multiple back problemwhich I finally beat them down and got it granted. Wrong diagnosis really and low ball rating but full grant so a win none the less. This is an aside, have you ever seem to hit a wall where everything you send at them, and without time to even read the evenvelope they come back with a denial, to everything regardless. It seems like a synyndrome of some sort. It has been that way since I won through DRO on the back. They really did not want to approve that. Curious if anyone else has come across that scenarrio? If this sounds good, so I will print of…
