Lets Step Back From Things For A Moment And Take A Deep Breath.
fwd from: BLUE WATER NAVY VIETNAM VETERANS ASSOCIATION Thursday, November 29, 2007 A Different View Lets step back from things for a moment and take a deep breath. In reviewing the announcement of the proposed changes to the VA's Manual that hit the presses the other day, we need to make sure we understand a couple of things about the process. When Congress passes enabling legislation like the Agent Orange Act of 1991, the affected Department(s) re-write the law into the language of policy and regulation. So, Congress enacts a bill and it becomes a citation under United States Code or USC, the agency re-writes it into regulation entered into the Code of Fede…

Va & Employement
Hi All, I am courious if the VARO will ask for your work records to see if any claimed or actual SC disabilities has effected your ability to work, i.e. taking vac time because you are sick or actual sick time hours. Have they ever asked for such records for anyone and what is the general policy on this. Thanks.

Spine Rating
I currently have 2 bulging discs in my lumbar spine, one of which is pinching a sciatic nerve branch, causing pain, numbness, positive Babinski sign and other wonderful issues in my one leg. I have had the VAs method of rating the neurological portion explained to me but I still don't quite understand it, so I am seeking someone who is rated for 'associated neurological issues' to provide an example.

One Veteran Protest Varo Louisville
For what it is worth I am going to find out from my local City Government if I need a permit to personally picket the Veterans Administration Regional Office at Louisville Kentucky. I cannot think of any more direct action that I could take than to bring the publics attention to the plight of the Agent Orange Thailand Veteran.

C&p Yesterday
I went with my friend that I have been helping to his C&P yesterday. The doctor was a board certified Internal Medicine specialist, but not in orthopedics or surgery. She was contracted. She had the C file with her and had read it before the exam. She referred to it often, and also said she concurred with the IMO on most points. The first exam lasted 1 1/2 hours. Seemed like hundreds of questions concerning the gastro problems associated with his pain meds. She seemed to connect the dots on the connection and affirmed that it was more than likely the cause of a multitude of problems. The second exam,(for the orginal claim) on the spine, well it was not so goo…
