Check Out This Link I Accidentally Came Accross
Found this site while looking for expected lifespans for Vietnam veterans. I'll be sending for the professional edition. Also found out the VA has charts that give our expected lifespans. Bet they use these charts when adjudicating claims. pr http://www.longtermcarelink.net/a16veterans_books.htm

Got A Letter From Senator Levin Today
Letter is in response to my letter: Dear Honorable Members of the Veterans Affairs Committee, I voluntarily served 28 years of active duty in the United States Navy. My career was not without danger or armed conflicts. In doing so I committed myself to respond the many actions that U.S. Armed Forces responded to such as: 1982 Multinational Force in Lebanon , 1983 -- Grenada Operation Urgent Fury, 1986 Libya. Libyan Patrol Boats On March 26, 1986, US forces, while engaged in freedom of navigation exercises around the Gulf of Sidra, had been attacked by Libyan missiles, On April 16, 1986, U.S. air and naval forces had conducted bombing strikes on terrorist facilities…

I was just reading some regs in my spare time and noticed once again the Special Monthly Compensation Rates. When I read it before -- I thought it was ironic that they will pay you for the loss of all or part of your "creative" organs -- but not OTHER organs. So teticles, breasts, and ovaries are given more importance than lungs, stomachs, livers, and brains... Kind of odd I think. I used to kid my husband and tell him if he got his lung cancer service connected --then - if he cut off his teticles DURING chemo - he would get a raise (secondary connection). He did not think it was a good plan --and started hiding the knives... Anyway --I now see that it also i…

Vets Radio Show

Bob Filner was a guest on this show some time back and the format is great. Next week, Wednesday night- (I wont be here much after today for a week- because my daughter is coming home) I am guest speaker and presented to them a few issues I could talk about- well there are dozens and dozens of issues to talk about but I need to narrow it down- If you can -catch the show at http://www.stardustradio.com/ It takes a few minutes to link up-and familiarize yourself with the radio format- and call in with any q…

Va Explanation For Flagged File
I stopped by the VARO to change my address of record, recently and to get a date stamped received copy of the change. The employee working the intake window advised me she would make the change however discovered, when trying to make the change in the computer system, she did not have the "authority" to actually make the change. As many may know my file is flagged. I finally got an explanation for the flagging. "Anytime an attorney is representing the veteran all changes must be made by supervisory personnel to insure all is done properly." Finally, something that makes sense. pr
