Claim Flie Tranfered
Hello Again: My son called me this morning, He said that his Claim File has been transfered to another state, Where he now resides. He didn't ask for the transfer. We had left it with the ST. Louis RO because we were told by his AMVETs service officer that due the the Complex Issues that if he was denied and we had to appeal that there wouldn't be another Service Officer that would take the Claims Appeal. Thses 2 issues on Claim are now over 13 months in the process. Can they transfer this without his consent?? I have rang the phone off the wall at his Service Officer's dest today and filled up his voice mail with out any reply from him yet. Thanks Jessie

diabetes Seeking Advice
You have read my posting. I am presently 60% service connected (Vietnam 68 - 69 Radio Operator). PTSD (30%) Diabetes (20%) Skin Condition Vitilligo (10%), and Tinnitus (10%). I retired from the Army in 1988 after 22 years. I'm a Vietnam Vet. I was recalled to the Army in 1991 for Desert Storm support and again in Aug 04 through Aug 06 for Iraqi Freedom support - I did not go in country on either of these recalls. While on active duty at the Pentagon I worked in Casualty and Mortuary Affairs. I was responsible for extracting certain items out of all the casulty reports and on several occassions I had to go to the Dover mortuary. I routinely went to Ft. Mead and…

Disability And Employment?
I have a question about working and getting benefits at the same time. I have heard both answers, yes you can draw disability if you are employed & no you can't be gainfully employed if you want to get disability. The latter would mean that the only rating you could get would be 100% IU if you weren't able to work. How does the VA give say 30% and expect you to not have other income? Can someone clarify the VA rules on this...Thanks so much in advance!

Went To Dallas Vamc Yesterday
I went to Dallas VAMC yesterday and saw my primary Doc. It was really weird the place was like a tomb. My Doc had seen only 2 patients there were only a couple of Veterans in the waiting room. It really went pretty smooth I was seen within a few minutes of checking in and my blood work was went over and new meds prescribed. It was almost creepy how few were there and I started to wonder if the Medicare Vets are only using the VA for Meds?

Pension Exam
I filed a claim for DMII secondary condition about six months ago. I finally found out today the VA is going to send me for a C&P even though I had an opinion from a VA doctor saying the conditions was directly related to my AO induced DMII. I don't think anyone gets aways without a C&P exam in my RO. If you just tell them to go with the evidence they have you lose.

A Seabee And Agent Orange
Hi all: I met a nam vet who paved roads in I Corp as one of a team of Seabees in 69-70. Recently, he got cancer in his sinus area. He said that he was told that the type of cancer that he has is not from Agent Orange, even though he said that his team worked in many areas that were heavily sprayed with AO. Can anyone tell me how to find out which cancers are approved as being caused by AO. Also, is there a list of AO sprayed areas and dates?? Thank you. Mike S.
