Hurry Up And Wait
Hi, I am so dejected I could bite my foot off. Why? My claim that was filed eight months ago (for cataracts as a secondary condition from the Prednisone to help with the acute exacerbations of MS, and the worsening of my MS) is still at the ratings board. I know most of us have to wait longer times but this seems outrageous. There is a backlog, this I know. Seven different conditions are to be reviewed. I had the C&P exam in August 06. The 1-800 VA rep says the ratings people have all the info they need. Thank you for listening. H.G.

Was This A Cue?
http://www.va.gov/vetapp92/files1/9209436.txt I happened to find this while looking for something else- although this stated that the VA had erred- she did not appear to state the legal reg that they erred on- I dint see the "clear and unmistakable error" criteria mentioned at all- In a case like this- it appears the error was so obvious and manifestly altered the outcome that the part of the claim (IBS) that she questioned and stated VA erred on -was granted- "The veteran contends that the VARO erred in denying service connection for the claimed disorders and in denying increased evaluation for service-connected abdominal pain syndrome. She a…

Medical Progress Notes
I brought up keeping your C-file records current in another topic. In discussing this with my state VSO, he told me the rating VSRs could and did access current medical Progress Reports and lab data from the VHA computer files. Anybody know if this is true hot scuttlebutt or just a shining?? If it's true, then getting periodic VAMC records for your C-file could be important. Of not, then it isn't so important. Ralph

Any News On The Latest
http://vawatchdog.org/07/nf07/nfFEB07/nf020307-11.htm I think this bullcrap gives a lot of credibility to those of us who have experienced VA losing our records. Then again the news at the VA web site said it might have been stolen and not been misplaced.

Aid & Attendance
I have a case at the BVA for Aid & Attendance for me & my Wife which we both have the Medicial Opinions to prove. It was turned down by the RO but what else is new? Does one have to have a 100% ( I have a 100% T & P rating) rating & also a 60% rating to qualify for this? Also, could anyone tell me how much this would be worth for me & for my Wife? If I'm right about also needing a 60%er how else could I go about claiming his & hoping to win? Thank U for your time GARY
