Would Like To Become A Part-time So
Greetings to all, After finally winnng all my claims I sure would like to help out other disabled veterans. I am led to become Service Officer (part -time only) I could only do it out of my home. I am a member of several service orignizations and have not found a so that was worth his weight. I joined NVO and have left many messages on their answering machine and sent many e-mails to them with my intentions and I have heard nothing over the apst 2 months from them. I donlt know if they are still an service organinzation or not. Does anuyone know of a Service Organization that would meet my requirements? Thank you and God bless you. Bound4Heaven

Retired Vs Disabled
Well guy's.. My Father did 26 years Army and my Brother did 24 years Air Force and they are both mad at me. They both say that I make more than they did for having done less. I try to calmly explain to them both that I'd rather have my legs back, and be able to go out and play with my grad kids. They both know full well that it took over twenty years to even get the VA give me medical attention let along award me 100% P/T. What gets me is they were the same ones screaming at me to get a job when I could not work because I was in severe pain. Now you guys see why I really dont have a lot of faith in people that I dont know, if the people that I've known all my life …

Making A Case
I was diagnoised with severe sleep apnea a few months ago and placed on a c-pap machine. Until that time I had never heard of sleep apnea. I have nothing in my active duty medical records to prove this was a problem from my early years in service. All I was ever told when I asked doctors about the extremely loud and constant snoring my wife complained about was to sleep on my side, raise the head of the bed, or try using multiple pillows. What if any statements could my family provide that may be considered and accepted by the VA, or is it too late to try and have this problem considered. I have been refered to a Psychiatrist and placed on medication to try and help…

Ms Presumptive
Any of you ALLVETS members might have gotten the email request for help- this involves a Gulf War vet diagnosed recently with MS- It is my understanding that MS has a seven year after discharge presumption with a 10% manifestion of disability- This vet was discharged 12 years ago- Has the seven year presumption been changed at all within last 2 years? Also on the other ALLVETS email plea for help- wouldn't this soldier be able to hire a lawyer to stave off the Court Marshall? Thanks- Berta

Question About Depression
Hi everyone, I have a Vet that let his case become final. this has been many years ago. I was going thru his medical records and found out that he was diagnosed with depression due to stress, I found out that after talking to him that one of the main reason he did not appeal his last VA physical exam was he could not stand the stress any more after 5 years of battling the VA. His last exam had all kinds of issues that the VARO failed to mentioned in the SOC. Question: Should the VA allow stress related depression grounds to reopen a claim.? Thank you Peter
