Everyone Needs To Read!
I was at the VARO (I won't mention which one) while speaking to a veterans benefits counselor I was told I could not receive my retirement pay and disability pay (I'm rated 100%) at the same time it's against the law. I was also told my VA disability is not retroactive from my retirement date, I retired in Aug 2005. I had to correct the individual and site new laws. The response was: things are changing so much it's hard to keep up with them........ Who's training these people! A week later I called the 1-800 number to find out where my check was since I received a letter saying I would receive a check within 15 days.... I was told the same thing by another VBC…

Your most recent health treatment record in Jan 2006 fails to show diagnosis of ptsd with diagnosis of depression found." Can't make heads or tails of "diagnosis of rule out ptsd on the basis of your subjective reprots..." Also I didnt reciev…

Just Got The Non-formulary Aciphex Today In The Mail!
Hey all, Just wanted to let you know that I had filed a complaint on the internet VA IRIS website last Monday and wanted to know exactly how the VA pharmacy can get away with denying prescriptions written by VA primary care doctor. The system works is all I can tell you. Since I complained on Monday about the VA non-formulary prescription process, I received my Aciphex in the mail this afternoon with 11 refills from the VA. Now that was fast. Those that are having trouble getting medicines other than what is on the formulary list I highly recommend sending your complaints through IRIS. The bottle says RABERPRAZOLE but the tablets inside are actually Aciphex 20…

Good Time Lunch Meet
Wow, Meeting people for lunch today was a really nice break for me. Sir Flip is just a huggable sweetie- pie. He doesn't know it yet ... but.... I ate twice ! ! ! Terry and I hung out there until 5:00 and I thought what the heck, and couldn't stop thinking about all the good food so I had to get a little more. The messages on Terry's truck are just wonderful. I really admire him coming out of the closet, standing strong and letting so many people know how it really is. John, I think he is a very knowledgeable, softspoken, humble man and it was a pleasure to meet him. OK -- how about next we all start emailing Berta for a hadit picnic at her place !!! I …

Hearing Test
Is there a chart someplace, that the VA goes by in determining how bad or good your hearing is. I supposely had a comp hearing test in 1971, where most of my numbers from air conduction and bone conduction, were in the minus category numbers like -5, -10 and so forth, what does that mean, my hearing was better then normal, even though I couldn't hear very good with background noise, now these same numbers in my ears are anywhere from 10-60 depending on the ear, and have the same problems, plus they have the wrong social security number on the test, and it states the test was taken at Ft Smelling, and have never been there in my life. so wonder for sure if it is even my e…

Need Advise On Informal Claim
I plan on submitting the letter below to the VA for reconsideration of "effective date". The attached letter I referenced is not part of this post, it is a standard form letter that comes with the forms necessary to file a claim. Has anyone had a similar issue as me? Do I have a legitimate request? Your comments would be appreciated. Thanks Dear Sir: I am requesting retroactive compensation to November 12, 2003. The request is based on the attached letter I received dated November 12, 2003. I had called the 1-800-827-1000 and told the person I wanted to file a claim for disability and they sent me the appropriate forms This was prior to the dated letter I have a…

Need Some Help On Where To Find Mp Records
I posted a while back about helping a sexual trauma victim she told me that there was nothing in her records that she could remember ,that I would not be able to findanything about her attack. and that she told no one HOWEVER I received her records today and they are a gold mine for her. Not only was it reported at the time but the MP's were informed because the person who committed the crime beat her up so bad that she was unconscious for 1/2 hour after the attack records show that a friend took her to the ER and the MP's were called. My question is does anyone know how I go about finding those MP's records. She has no memory about how violent the attack was except for…
