What An Icd Does To The Ratings System
DC 7011, Ventricular Arrhythmias (Sustained) A condition involving depolarization of the atria or ventricles, or both, that occurs before the next expected sinus beat. In other words this is a premature heartbeat. Most complain of a skipped beat, flutter or extra beats in the chest but usually disregard them until they become frequent. The cause must be found before treatment can be started. ECG is the most likely method of determining a cause. The criteria are the same objective measurements that are used for arteriosclerotic heart disease and other heart diseases. However, there are specific provisions for a total evaluation while an Automatic Implanta…

Va 19 November Fast Letter
Go down to the paragraph that states "Send the Veteran or surviving spouse a standard VCAA". Then read the forth (4th) sentence that begins: " Do not request VA Medical exam unless herbicide exposure has been verified" I think this sentence should read: " Do not request VA Medical exam unless herbicide exposure has "NOT" been verified".

Rate Org. Ihd Finding?
What do you think? Will the VA rate AO IHD conditions when it was first discovered (damage done at this point!) or, use your most recent exam? Now that most of us are doing better with medication and treatment and, I am glad, will they compensate for your org. condition?

Cad And Ihd
Greetings all, Today I had a follow up visit with my cardiologist and asked him about CAD and IHD. He explained to me that they are medically different but both are considered as CAD. IHD is when the small vessels that carry oxygen and blood to your heart muscle are blocked. The key word here is "SMALL". These vessels cannot be surgically corrected like the larger arteries can and the only treatment is medication, (Renexa) or possibly EECP (enhanced external counterpulsation ). The EECP treatment was first considered to be a sham by cardiologists but further studies over the years indicated that out of 100 people, 80 had good results after treatment. EECP treatment ta…

C&p For Ihd
I had my C&P yesterday for IHD. I took in my records from my heart Doctor and Hospital. He used my records for all of his information. He only took Blood Pressure and listened to my heart. On the way out he said I should hear something in 5-6 weeks. I hope he is right Gunny

Peripheral Neuropathy And Anemia
Hello Group, During my last visit with my family doctor he told me I had peripheral neuropathy and anemia. I have read the neuropathy can be caused by DMII but what about the anemia. My doctor is hesitate about saying I have DMII and always says I'm border line and to treat it by dieting even though my readings from tests show anywhere between 126 to 178. This is documented by my cardioligist and from the A1C tests I have had done. I've filed the claim for DMII and of course the VA wants more documentation as always. I have filed a claim for IHD also and just waiting on the regs to be posted. All this is driving me crazy but hey, I'm already crazy and can get the pape…

diabetes Agent-orange Illness Federal Regsiter Dates
Since there have been a lot of questions concerning when the three new Agent-Orange illnesses might be added to the Federal Register so that the VA may commence with the rating of disabilities, I decided to research out what the time period was for all of the previous ones from the VA date of annoucement to the actual Federal Register date. It took me some time, but below is what I found. This might give us an idea of when the three new ones might go into effect. Please note that the first one (Choracne took 21 months. It looks like the reason for this unusual time period was that it was passed by Act of Congress rather than by the VA. I think it was incorporated in the o…

Ao Presumption, Brown & Blue Water
