No Ao Found A Fort Lewis
Since 1966 I have believed that I was exposure to AO @ FT Lewis, WA. The only reason I believed it an AO a buddy on same detail was a Vietnam Vet. When I became disabling I strongly believed that my prostate cancer, DMII, and severe PN were all caused by this AO exposure. In some ways I had a place to hang my hat on a reason, place and time of what happen to me. After tons of research I cannot find any AO at FT Lewis... Thanks to this web site I researched EPA – Superfund Cleanup – NIH – CDC – NIOSH – IARC Fort Lewis has TCE in post drinking water. Pesticide exposure when assigned to clean up detail (This is same assignment I believed was the AO …

Anyone Familiar With Dmii
My spouse has been away for a week now, I constantly keep forgetting to take my Diabetis meds. Today I awoke and when I stuck my finger my B/S was 565, I know this is very high. I cannot remember if I took my meds last night, I am groggy, confused and my equalibrium is off, I have already fallen twice today. My question is if I missed my meds can I take them now instead of 8:00PM last night, I am unsure what will happen if I take to much insulin, Metformin, acarbose and Glipizide in one day. I tried calling my doctor but keep getting cut off by the answering service, I called the VAMC ER and likewise, I get put on hold and then the line goes dead. I don't know what to…

diabetes Peripheral Vascular Artery Disease
In my initial VA C&P it states that "we have granted service connection for bilateral peripheral vascular disease secondary to your DMII (SC 20%). During the VA exam you complained of claudication, which you described as a sharp pain in your calf. The excerise was consistent with mild arterial disease bilaterally". It then states "VA regulations consider noncompensable complications to be a part of the diabetic process and included in the evaluation assigned for diabetes; therefore bilateral peripheral vascular discases do not warrant separate evalulations. In the event these conditions worsen, you should notify our office." My question is this: Is periphera…

"If a veteran was exposed to a herbicide agent (to include Agent Orange) during active military, naval or air service and has contracted an enumerated disease to a degree of 10 percent or more at any time after service (except for chloracne and acute and subacute peripheral neuropathy which must be manifested within a year of the last exposure to an herbicide agent during service), the veteran is entitled to a presumption of service connection even though there is no record of such disease during service. 38 U.S.C.A. § 1112; 38 C.F.R. § 3.307, 3.309(e). Cll Regs And
http://cybersarges.tripod.com/cll.html The cybersarge site is excellent and the only place I could find how the medical determination of CLL is made by the VA. CLL is quite specific as an AO presumptive. Hopefully the VA will post the Hairy cell B regs soon for this new AO presumptive along with a definition of Hairy cell for VA claims purposes- as well as the new IHD and Parkinsons regs

Nehmer Fast Letter Of
This Fast letter re-defines how these claims should be handled- it is a stronger statement than the more recent Fast letters on the new AO presumptives and shoul;d be considered in the context of the proposed regs on the 3 new AO disabilities. Please note one page one of this letter to all VAROS "ACCOUNTABILITY Regional Offices must stricly comply with the instructions set forth in this letter and attachments. It is critical that NEHMER claims be handled expeditiously and correctly. The processing of Nehmer claims requires VA to operate under court-imposed deadlines. Failure to comply with instructions could result in court-ordered sanctions against VA and/or VA o…

diabetes Dic If Deceased Vet Never Tested For Ao?
My father died in April of 2007. He was a USAF Ssgt who served from 64-67. He had many medical problems that we believe were a result of Agent Orange and was disabled, but never got officially tested for Agent Orange. He did have Type 2 Diabetes, but his official "cause of death" was "Morbid Obesity". I have only recently heard of the Dependents Indemnity Compensation and am wondering if our family would/could qualify for this? ((To clarify, his disability did not happen when he was in the service. I think his original cause for disability was back problems perhaps because of factory jobs after the service.. but then later he developed many medical problems with lungs…
