Records C-File We can not stress enough how important it is to View your claims folder at the regional office call 1-800-827-1000 and request an appointment to view your c-file (claims folder). Ensure that all the records in your C-File are yours. Check that everything you have sent to the VA is included in your C-File. After viewing your claims folder (c-file) and correcting any mistakes you may find. Then request a hard copy of your claims folder. To request your military records use this form Request for Military Records NARA SF 180 To request your C-File which is your claims folder at the regional veteran affairs office use VA Form 3288 Technically any release or waiver from that is signed by the claimant and that properly compiles with and cites the Privacy Act and FOIA is sufficient. However VA personnel are familiar with the VA Form 3288 so it will cause the least confusion. The 1973 Fire at NPRC On July 12, 1973, a disastrous fire at NPRC (MPR) destroyed approximately 16-18 million Official Military Personnel Files. The affected record collections are described below. Branch Personnel and Period Affected Estimated Loss Army Personnel discharged November 1, 1912, to January 1, 1960 80% Air Force Personnel discharged, September 25, 1947, to January 1, 1964 (with names alphabetically after Hubbard, James E.) 75% No duplicate copies of the records that were destroyed in the fire were maintained, nor was a microfilm copy ever produced. There were no indexes created prior to the fire. In addition, millions of documents had been lent to the Department of Veterans Affairs before the fire occurred. Therefore, a complete listing of the records that were lost is not available. Nevertheless, NPRC (MPR) uses many alternate sources in its efforts to reconstruct basic service information to respond to requests.

2008 Hello Brothers and Sisters, We are now going into our 11th year, hard to believe but here we are! Some Statistics from 2007 I think you might find interesting are attached to this post as a pdf. I usually like to have a new look on the main site (http://www.hadit.com) each new year. However, the past few months have presented me with some challenges I was unable to overcome to work on the site. So I will work on the site, however it will be sometime this year rather than the beginning of the year. hoppy i was an AZ data analyst my office practically sat on the flight lined, everything smelled and tasted like jet fuel. the noise alone could turn your nerves inside out, of course here's the weird thing i smell jet fuel now and my adrenalin goes way up it puts in a whole different place. saw one plane crash on the runway during take off, had another come down in the santa barbara mountains, crew was ok, they ejected but we never did find all of that plane and it set the santa barbara hills on fie. the pilot was boss and boy was i glad to see him

that is easy to do open the file select the text you want then open the forum then new post and where you normally type just uste control key x or you can go to the menu on the top of the browser go to edit and then paste dose this make sense?

that's pretty much how i felt each time, it was never as bad as i imagined, if that makes you feel in any better. be on time, be honest, be prepared, and remember if it goes good for you great, if not you can appeal. i think it's because the c and p doctor has so much power, for me my first c and p meant was i going to be able to eat and put a roof over my head, now that is understandably a tremendous pressure, but you can and will get through this have faith brother. berta's post has some really great infomation also check out this article if you haven't already Do's and Don'ts for your C & P exam
