  1. welcome aboard iraq2, i know the frustration and the anger you feel about the va that is after all what got me to start this site some 11 years ago. if you are not see a therapist get one, try the local veterans center, i like going there better than going to the va hospital. if you need to get into any other support groups aa, na, ga whatever get to the meeting. you can get through this even if it's just 15 minutes at a time, lots of us been there, find an outlet for your anger, personally i broke a lot of phones, used a baseball bat on sturdy work table and screaming at the top of my lungs while driving, let it out, move on to the next 15 minutes, try to use your military training your mission is to get the all the compensation you are entitled to, and stay mission focused as much as possible. brother it's a hard road to walk, but it is not impossible and you are not alone. welcome home tbird
  2. i'm with ricky especially with the IU
  3. yeah i was ranting about this yesterday to my nephew, poor guy gave me a ride to the va, and he said something about the hearings and i just went off, not at him. it just ticks me off.
  4. it sounds fishy to me, i've never heard the va sending out $5 bills on any other survey. are you sure this is from the VA and not some scammer?
  5. berta is this the post you are talking about http://www.hadit.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10266
  6. wings on the main forum page go all the way to the bottom under Board Statistics there is a drop down box that probably says Patriot Games click on the drop down and select Larger Text and see if that works for you.
  7. here's a link to the VA Historical Compensation Rates http://www.hadit.com/VA_Historical_Compensation_Rates
  8. that laugh was good for me to, and boy it does feel like that.

Get Help Now - Get to the VA Hospital, if you are in danger of hurting yourself or others dial 911 we don't want to lose you.
  10. berta thank you this is a big help. i would like to use some of your posts as articles on the main site and would appreciate your input on what kinds of questions repeat for you. others jump in here. if we have posted the same information over and over than chances are it should be it's own article. this is what i need Articles Written Accuracy Checked any takers?
  11. fixed this the link should be http://www.hadit.com/veterans_self_help_guide.html about that
  12. can i get a volunteer who can read over the attached document for accuracy? The subject is Eligibility and Entitlement it's not near done, but some input now would be good. Track_1_No_Claim_Filed.rtf
  13. the first year or so of my claim i had to start buying really cheap phones, because i would get so frustrated i would slam them down and break them and throw them against the wall, i have since learned to manage my anger better. they can really yank your chain and sometimes i think they even enjoy it, but i couldn't prove it.
  14. please tone down the personal insults, it will encourage others to use personal insults and it will degenerate into a flame, there is no need to insult the others appearance, parentage, etc. if you hate them, just say i hate them - tbird
  15. thanks for the heads up i put a blurb and a link to the story at the top of homepage http://www.hadit.com i also put a link to the audio of the story. here is what i put Army Blocks Disability Paperwork Aid at Fort Drum Source: NPR Morning Edition, January 29, 2008 · Army officials in upstate New York instructed representatives from the Department of Veterans Affairs not to help disabled soldiers at Fort Drum Army base with their military disability paperwork last year. That paperwork can be crucial because it helps determine whether soldiers will get annual disability payments and health care after they're discharged. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
  16. i have to tell you i had no idea this was going to be such a huge topic, the member requested i delete his post as stated in a previous post and i did just that and nothing more i made no judgement call, i have no expereince with the guy. this was totally his decison and not mine. it seemed like such a simple request, please delete my post, ok and then all this discussion about censorship and so on. i am just a bit amazed. my priority is to help veterans. it really is up to VetDr whether he chooses to post again or not. 12 crank calls would scare most people off. as i think it was berta said, we have a large membership, but an even larger amount of guests who read claims research and never sign up. so it's really hard to say who might have made those calls, but we do get some very odd folks from time to time and i always recommend never posting personal information on the net anywhere. i never have heard from him again. tbird
  17. use this link http://www.hadit.com/Search to search it will give you better results. under the search box on this page are two radio buttons web and www.hadit.com select www.hadit.com and it will do a nice google search on everything on the site and the forum for what you are looking for.
  18. just to clarity i am not speaking specifically about the post that was made by VetDr the question i am answering is aren't the ads at the top of the page paid advertisements and yes, they are paid advertisements, not free advertisements in a post which is what i was referring to, you would be surprised by how many viagra, mortgage refinance, and on and on that come in as posts but are actually advertisements. anyone who wants to pay for advertising on the site can do so by going to our About page http://www.hadit.com/about and clicking on the button at the top that says this site recommends Adsense or anyone can set up an Adwords account and specify the site.
  19. well, that is true we do not want the board posts to be filled with free advertising, we get plenty of spam bots and such but are usually able to catch them before they hit the board. advertising is prohibited in the rules, though you can feel free to have a link to your website in your address if you would like. i can't really make a judgement on his credentials one way or the other i know nothing about him. it was a simple email that came to me this am from him that said "Please remove this post which has my phone number since I received 12 crank calls yesterday. Thanks " and that's what i did.
  20. it was his request not my decision
